Baby-faced boy blogger Matthew Hurtt gives us what he's been hearing "on the street": "Word on the street" is that there has been a never-before-seen power grab at the county election commission level. People have come out of the woodwork in an attempt to get the one available Republican election commission seat in all 95 counties. Davidson, Bedford, and Rutherford counties - just to name a few - have all experienced some sort of political disagreement - including, but not limited to namecalling and threats.

This has caused a great amount of tension amongst Republican lawmakers, who have been pressured into appointing friends and contributors, to the point of them not being compelled to act quickly on this issue.
