Brandt Snedeker’s return to his former swing coach did not pay immediate dividends. It took all of a week and a half.

Snedeker shot up the leaderboard into a tie for sixth in the third round of The Players Championship on Saturday when he shot a bogey-free 7-under (65), which tied for the second best round of the day at the famed TPC Sawgrass. He birdied all four par-5s, two par-4s and one par-3 and never made more than four straight pars.
