Cavs' Windler to miss season with leg injury

Dylan Windler

Former Belmont guard and Cleveland Cavaliers rookie Dylan Windler will miss the rest of the 2019-20 season after needing surgery to repair a lower left leg stress reaction that he suffered in the preseason, the team announced on Monday.

"After an extended period of rehabilitation and treatment over the last several months, it was determined the injury will now require surgery," the Cavaliers said in a statement. "A timetable for his return to basketball activities will be established post-surgery, which is scheduled for January 21."
