The dissolution of longtime Nashville law firm Branstetter, Stranch & Jennings has not been without controversy, and now one of its successor firms is suing the other seeking money it says it is owed.

Herzfeld, Suetholz, Gastel, Leniski, and Wall PLLC (HSGLaW) on Tuesday filed suit in Davidson County Chancery Court against Stranch, Jennings & Garvey. In the suit, HSGLaW alleges that the partners who started Stranch, Jennings & Garvey owe more than $200,000 as a result of agreements made during the dissolution process, which concluded earlier this year.
