Tennessee is among several U.S. states suing a group agribusiness an chemical companies over liabilities related to PFAS — also known as “forever chemicals.”

The lawsuit was filed at the beginning October by Tennessee and 15 other states against Indiana-based EIDP (also known as DuPont), as well as its parent company Corteva, and newly formed company Vylor. The suit alleges that, through transactions, DuPont attempted to shift its assets and leave behind liabilities related to PFAS.
