Nashville General Hospital President and CEO Joseph Webb has resigned from the role following a oversight board vote that his contract should not be renewed.

The Metro Nashville Hospital Authority Board's CEO review committee voted on Tuesday not to renew Webb's contract as leader of the city's safety net hospital. Webb had been in the role for 10 years, and saw his contract renewed in 2022 for three years. His tenure will end on March 14.Â
