Envision Healthcare has appointed a new board of directors as the company emerges from bankruptcy proceedings. Envision, which focuses on physician staffing for emergency rooms,  settled more than 70 percent of its $7.76 billion debt and split into two organizations in November.  

As bankruptcy proceedings came to a close, former CEO Jim Rechtin announced he would leave the organization to lead Humana and Henry Howe was named interim CEO for the company. Envision also appointed Steve Nelson chair of the board of directors in November.
