UBS puts number on '16 Nashville growth plans

The leaders of global bank UBS plan to grow their back-office operation in Nashville by dozens of workers in the coming 12 months. Matt Turner at Business Insider reports that the UBS executives' quarterly presentation to analysts and investors includes some color on the company's efforts to move chunks of their workforce to lower-cost locales in Nashville, Poland, India and China. During 2015, the company hired roughly 500 people for its downtown and Cool Springs operations. That number is expected to grow by roughly another 100 this year as the Swiss company works its way toward its 2019 goal of 1,000 local workers.
