Bank holding company FB Financial has recruited a chief accounting officer from a regional lender with $40 billion in assets.

Keith Rainwater comes to downtown-based FB Financial, the parent of FirstBank, after nearly 14 years at SouthState Corp., which runs more than 280 offices in six Southeastern states. There, the 58-year-old was most recently an executive vice president and its designated principal accounting officer. A graduate of Appalachian State University, Rainwater has more than 25 years of banking experience.
