The leaders of global accounting and advisory firm Deloitte have tapped a longtime local leader to take over as managing partner of its Nashville office.

John West is assuming the area leadership role — which encompasses Deloitte’s office in the Gulch Crossing building downtown and a large services hub just east of Nashville International Airport in Hermitage — from Terry Hardesty, who is accepting a national role. An audit partner for more than 30 years, Hardesty also was Deloitte & Touche’s national chief talent officer from the summer of 2014 through September 2016. She will remain based in Nashville.
