Vanderbilt University has hired Carl Rodrigues as its first vice chancellor for real estate, facilities and development.

According to the university website, Rodrigues most recently served as CEO of the Harvard Allston Land Company, a subsidiary of Harvard University. He was responsible for development of the university’s $1.5 billion Enterprise Research Campus, a 36-acre innovation district located near Harvard’s main campus.
