A MetroCenter office building that sold for $16.5 million four years ago has now been acquired by a global asset management company for about $4 million less than that figure.

According to a Davidson County Register of Deeds document, the new owner is an LLC affiliated with London-based Schroders. The LLC paid about $12.58 million for the six-acre property, which is located at 2 Vantage Way.
