Taking stock: Dollar General adding warehouses

Dollar General executives are beefing up their distribution network with three facilities, one of them located in Bowling Green.

Goodlettsville-based Dollar General plans to break ground in September on its 18th traditional distribution center in Walton, Kentucky, southwest of Cincinnati. That $65 million, 630,000-square-foot facility is expected to employ 250 people when it opens in January and will service 800 stores.
