Brentwood-based Freedom Healthcare of America, doing business as Addiction Campuses of America, announced the raising of $3.8 million in series A funding and the acquisition of two behavioral health companies.Founded by Brent Clements last fall, the company acquired Turning Point Recovery, a North Mississippi and Memphis provider of addiction treatment, and Spring2Life, a Murfreesboro spiritually-based provider of addition, recovery and behavioral health services.Addiction Campuses of America seeks to integrate the new programs while pursuing growth through other acquisitions. The company's funding was led by Fulcrum Equity Partners alongside Harpeth Ventures."We have assembled a powerful team of experienced industry veterans and investors to help us execute our growth strategy," Clements said in a release. "Unfortunately, addition and other behavioral health issues are becoming increasingly prevalent throughout our country. At ACA, we have treatment plans and processes that result in successful outcomes and help our patients lead healthy, productive lives going forward."
