J.J. Bleday, Vanderbilt’s leading hitter during the 2018 baseball season, was named the Cape Cod League’s top pro prospect.

The rising junior outfielder had a team-high .311 batting average in 36 games with the Orleans Firebirds. He also scored a team-leading 29 runs and added five home runs and 15 RBIs. Bleday ranked among the league’s top 10 in batting average and runs scored and was one of six payers with a .500 or better slugging percentage.
