Armstrong's replacement has his own legal troubles

Last week the Knox County Democratic Party appointed Rick Staples to replace convicted state Rep. Joe Armstrong on the ballot for the House 15th District. Armstrong became ineligible to retain his office after his conviction earlier this month on charges of filing a false tax return.

However, it seems Staples is struggling with his own legal issues over unpaid child support — and earlier this year a warrant was sworn out against him for lack of payment, reports the Knoxville Mercury:
