Area athletes earn several Player of the Week honors

The college basketball regular season is winding down as teams prepare for conference tournament play, while college baseball and softball seasons are just beginning.

The Belmont women’s and Austin Peay men’s basketball teams went unbeaten last week, forging ahead into first-place ties atop the Ohio Valley Conference. Lipscomb has a sub-.500 record, but the Bison are riding a four-game win streak.
