The executive leading the relocation of AllianceBernstein’s headquarters to Nashville will retire from the company as soon as the end of next year.

New York-based AB, which is aggressively hiring for a home office at Fifth + Broadway that will house more than 1,000 people, said Wednesday that COO Jim Gingrich will in the meantime continue to lead that process and assist President and CEO Seth Bernstein on broader strategy issues. Gingrich could step away from the investment manager at the end of 2020 and will do so no later than the end of 2022.
