Vanderbilt football loses two more to transfer portal

New Vanderbilt football coach Clark Lea hasn’t yet finished his season with Notre Dame, but he already has two fewer Commodores than he did after being formally introduced as the program’s new coach eight days ago.

Running back Jamauri Wakefield and receiver James Bostic III announced they have entered the NCAA transfer portal and will leave as graduate transfers. They are the 11th and 12th players to leave Vanderbilt since the spring, joining linebacker Dimitri Moore, safeties Tae Daley, Tre Douglas and Frank Coppet, cornerback D.C. Williams, linebacker Colin Anderson, receiver C.J. Bolar, running back J.R. Tran-Reno and linebacker Kenny Hebert.
