The Vanderbilt women's basketball team's first loss of the season was as brutal as the winter weather blanketing Middle Tennessee.

Plagued by an inability to control the ball, Coach Shea Ralph's Commodores fell to No. 2-ranked South Carolina in Columbia, 103-74.
