Vanderbilt, Virginia announce two-game football series

Teams will meet in Nashville in 2028 and in Charlottesville in 2031, resuming series that dates back to 1895

Vanderbilt football will play a home-and-home series against Virginia in 2028 and 2031, the schools announced Friday.

The series kicks off Sept. 16, 2028, in Nashville, when the programs will meet for the first time since 1975. The Commodores and Cavaliers will face one another again in 2031 in Charlottesville, Va.
