The Vanderbilt men's and women's basketball programs continued their scorching starts to the season with a pair of victories over the weekend, pushing each team's winning streak into historic territory.

The men's team defeated LSU 84-73 at Memorial Gymnasium on Jan. 10 to improve to 16-0, matching the program record for best start to a season, which was set during the 2007-08 campaign. Vandy is among five unbeaten Division I men's teams left this season.
