For the first time in 11 years and the seventh time in its history, the Tennessee State University football program is headed to the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) playoffs.

The Tigers (9-3, 6-2) earned a share of the Big South-OVC crown on Saturday with a 28-21 win over Southeast Missouri State (9-3, 6-2) at Nissan Stadium. It was TSU's first conference title since back-to-back OVC championships in 1998 and 1999.
