One day after exiting the NCAA Tournament just shy of the Final Four, Tennessee’s basketball team finds itself in a familiar position.

The Vols will likely welcome back a number of complementary players for the 2026-27 season, but coach Rick Barnes will have to hit the transfer portal –- or depend on the quick maturation of young team members –- in order to maintain the kind of success he’s had over the past several years.
