Sounds' Rick Sweet edges closer to managerial record

Nashville skipper recently earned 2,497th win, moving into second place on minor-league all-time list

Rick Sweet is closing in on the record for most managerial wins in minor league baseball history.

The 73-year-old Nashville Sounds’ manager moved into second place in that department Sunday night, when the Sounds defeated Charlotte 5-3 in a Triple-A International League contest.
