In his efforts to make the roster of the NBA Western Conference champion San Antonio Spurs next season, former UT and Belmont guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie made a strong impression during summer league play in Las Vegas.

The 6-0, 182-pound guard led the Spurs’ summer league team in points (16.0 per game) and assists (4.3), while adding 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals in four contests.
