Vanderbilt’s starting quarterback situation for 2025 remains unclear after events played out Wednesday regarding Diego Pavia and Nate Johnson.

A federal judge in Nashville took Pavia’s request for a limited preliminary injunction under advisement at the end of a hearing Wednesday. Pavia, the Commodores’ starting quarterback and best player in 2024, is hoping to play at least one more season while his lawsuit against the NCAA is decided in court.
