The Titans on Monday moved wide receiver Kyle Philips to the team’s “designated for return” list while also waiving wide receiver Mason Kinsey and offensive lineman Xavier Newman.

It’s a step in the right direction for Philips, who has missed the first four games of the season due to a knee injury he suffered during a preseason game in Minnesota. His new designation means he has up to a three-week window to practice with the team. Philips won’t count against the team’s 53-man roster until he’s activated from the 53-man roster.
