New York Liberty v Las Vegas Aces

Last week, the Las Vegas Aces clinched their second-consecutive WNBA title with a 3-1 series win over the New York Liberty.

Much was made of the flurry of high-profile offseason moves both teams made, which included Las Vegas' signing of local basketball legend Alysha Clark. The move paid off, as Clark was named the 2023 WNBA Sixth Person of the Year. 

As a senior at Mt. Juliet, Clark led the Golden Bears to the Class AAA state championship while landing All-American honors from multiple outlets. 

Clark then went on to star at a pair of local universities, leading Belmont to the program's first two NCAA Tournament appearances, earning two more NCAA bids following her transfer to MTSU, and four consecutive conference player of the year awards. To date, she is still the only NCAA women's player to ever win player of the year for two different Division I conferences. 

Now a three-time WNBA champion, Clark spoke with the Post about winning another title and representing Middle Tennessee on the big stage.
