Murfreesboro native, Blackman alum posted 3.47 GPA and 3.59 ERA for No. top-ranked Tennessee

Tennessee pitcher Drew Beam, a Murfreesboro native and Blackman High alum, was Monday named the Southeastern Conference’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

The junior right-hander, a finance major, has a 3.47 GPA.
