The odds of Hendersonville’s Josef Newgarden’s wining an unprecedented third straight Indianapolis 500 this weekend got a lot longer Monday.

That’s when IndyCar penalized Newgarden and Team Penske teammate Will Power for technical rules violations during qualifying last weekend, moving the racers back into the final two spots on the grid for this Sunday’s race.
