Black Nashvillians face disparities related to affordability, according to Metro Social Services’ 17th annual community needs evaluation report.

Released on April 14 and titled “Affordability Challenges for African Americans in Nashville: Enduring Legacies & Emerging issues,” the report examines economic issues affecting the African American community. The report dives into the topics of wages, employment, housing, education, child care, transportation, household debt and social safety net.
