A proposed model for the future East Bank Boulevard

As the long-awaited East Bank development slowly comes to fruition, it’s also becoming more clear what the future neighborhood’s street network may look like.

The Metro Planning Commission last week approved an amendment to Nashville’s Major and Collector Street Plan, laying the groundwork for what types of streets could be located within the East Bank’s Wasioto Bend (formerly known as East Bend) area. However, the amendment is not necessarily the final plan for how the future streets' form and function. Instead, it acts as a planning document rather than official legislation.
