Nashville's Jane Branstetter Stranch, a judge on the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, is planning to take "senior status," according to a Reuters report.

Her decision to take a step back from full-time service on the Cincinnati-based court would give President Joe Biden a vacancy on the appeals bench that handles cases in Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan.
