Chances of a third former Vanderbilt football player going to trial in a highly publicized rape case decreased when a defense motion to suppress evidence was denied.

Brandon Banks is charged with five counts of aggravated rape and two counts of aggravated sexual battery in the June 2013 assault of a female student in a campus dormitory.
