The owner of Nicoletto's Italian Kitchen hopes to open in Hillsboro Village this fall, Nashville Business Journal reports.
The restaurant will take space at 2123 Belcourt Ave. in the building last housing Bare Naked Bagel, which ceased operations earlier this month.
Danny Nicoletto and Ryan Nicoletto, co-founders of Nicoletto's Italian Kitchen, opened the original restaurant at 2905 Gallatin Pike in East Nashville in February 2016.
The Nicoletto’s Italian Kitchen menu focuses on pasta, salads and submarine sandwiches.
Nearest Green Distillery to open in mid-September
The Nearest Green Distillery will open Saturday, Sept. 14, in Shelbyville.
The facility will produce Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey, according to a release. The spirit is named after the late Nearest Green, whom Uncle Nearest Inc. bills as the first known African American master distiller.
Located on the former site of Sand Creek Farms, a Tennessee Walking Horse farm and event center, the distillery property spans about 270 acres.
The overall design and visitor experience for the distillery has been overseen by Peggy Noe Stevens & Associates. Thom Meek of GHP Environmental + Architecture (and former Tennessee Walking Horse champion) is the architect. Shelbyville-based general contractor Haynes Service Co. is building the corporate offices, welcome house, a single barrel warehouse and tasting rooms. Lee Adcock Construction, also based in Shelbyville, has overseen the building of the distillery, bottling house and rick houses.
“Posthumously, we are working to ensure [Nearest Green’s] name is cemented in the hearts and minds of people around the world for generations to come,” Fawn Weaver, co-founder and CEO of Uncle Nearest, said in the release. “The Nearest Green Distillery is his legacy and that of his descendants. Being able to bring that to life, quite frankly, still blows my mind.”
