Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Harry Jacobson plans for capital project investments in the hospital over the next five years to reach $1 billion, according to a report in VUMC’s Reporter.

Jacobson, vice chancellor for health affairs, delivered his annual state of the medical center speech earlier this week. He unveiled a five-year strategic plan for the academic medical center that called for heavy investments in new construction, renovation and expansion, and scientific faculty recruitment.
