Gaylord Entertainment Co. (GET) has sold its one-third stake in Opry Mills for $31 million in cash and the transfer of $56 million of debt, according to a Mills Corp. release.

The Nashville-based hotel company said earlier this year that it wanted to sell its Opry Mills position, which it acquired when it formed a venture with Mills Corp. that transformed the Opyland theme park land into a large shopping mall. Mills, an Arlington, Va. real estate investment trust, now owns 100% of the 1.1 million square-foot shopping center.
