AAC Holdings buys Florida substance abuse provider

Brentwood-based AAC Holdings has announced plans to acquire Recovery First Inc., a Florida substance abuse and rehab services company, for $13 million.

This is the first acquisition for AAC, the parent company of American Addiction Centers, since it went public in October. Recovery First runs a 56-bed inpatient substance abuse treatment facility in the Fort Lauderdale area that includes 20 detoxification beds. The company generates revenue of about $7 million.
