Caremark, AdvancePCS stockholders approve merger

At a special meeting held earlier today, shareholders of Caremark Rx (CMX) approved the issuance of shares of Caremark to AdvancePCS (ADVP)stockholders, authorizing the merger of the two pharmacy benefit managers.

Earlier today, at AdvancePCS’s annual meeting, AdvancePCS stockholders approved the merger as well. These stockholder approvals were a condition to closing the merger, which is expected on March 24.
