Ryman rebookings now at $200M+

Clients of Ryman Hospitality Properties have in the past month and a half canceled more than 400,000 room nights due to the COVID-19 pandemic — but the company also has been able to more than double the amount of business it is rebooking for future dates.

Ryman Hospitality Chairman and CEO Colin Reed on Friday morning said the Nashville-based owner of the Gaylord Hotels group as well as entertainment properties including the Grand Ole Opry has rebooked about 457,000 group room nights worth about $208 million in revenue since the spread of COVID began to close down much of the economy in March. That number is up from nearly 200,000 in early May. At that time, Ryman Hospitality customers had canceled or pushed back about 860,000 room nights due to the pandemic. That latter number has since risen to about 1.3 million room nights worth $608 million in revenue.
