Vanderbilt senior to launch home services app

QuikFix Nashville City Manager Donovan Sheffield

Vanderbilt University senior and former Commodore cornerback Donovan Sheffield is launching QuikFix, an online marketplace for homeowners to post jobs they need done, in Nashville on Friday.

Founded in 2017 by three students at Rhodes College in Memphis, QuikFix was developed as a way for college students to earn money by fulfilling free agent home and office work in the surrounding community. By using the app or website, homeowners can schedule jobs they need done around the house with local college students for $25 per hour per student. Their services range everything from heavy lifting to furniture assembly, and pretty much every job that doesn’t require a professional license.
