Dell beefing up local sales teams

The leaders of Dell’s Nashville campus are doubling down on a hiring push for their small- and medium-business units, which already have grown by 75 people year to date.

Dell has in recent years gone through similar local growth spurts — including one last year that added 60 small-biz sales specialists — and now employs about 1,600 people at its operations near Nashville International Airport. Between now and year’s end, local executives plan to add another 150 people to that number. Those workers also will support sales strategy for Dell customers across the country.
