Turnip Truck to open on west side Friday

Prepared to provide a positive message in the aftermath of the tornado and with the current concerns regarding the coronavirus, The Turnip Truck Urban Fare and Natural Market will open in West Nashville Friday at 10 a.m.

The 15,000-square-foot, all-natural and organic products grocery store at 5001 Charlotte Ave. in Sylvan Park will employ about 70 employees. It will offer produce, groceries, a butcher, bulk foods, beer and wine, supplements, health and beauty items and a filtered water station. Most of the produce will be sourced within 200 miles. In a typical season, about 90 percent or more of Turnip Truck’s produce is organic.
