Dr. Amy Neff, a primary care physician board certified in family medicine with specialization in integrative medicine, has joined Saint Thomas Medical Partners in Brentwood.
Neff (pictured) has a particular interest in local food, farming, animal welfare and the environment, serving on the boards of A Greener World's Certified Non-GMO by AGW as well as the Independent Small Animal Meat Processing Association.
Neff earned her Bachelor of Science degree with honors within the University of Tennessee College Scholars program, focusing on neurosciences. She earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Virginia Department of Family Medicine in Charlottesville. She completed a fellowship in faculty development at the University of Virginia Department of Family Medicine and is undertaking a fellowship at Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine.
Neff once served as medical director of Bon Secours' Maryview Foundation Healthcare Center and the Bon Secours Hampton Roads Care-A-Van. More recently, she served as the staff physician at the University School of Nashville since October 2015.
Saint Thomas Health is part of Ascension, which bills itself as the nation’s largest Catholic and nonprofit health system.
Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey adds Burns
Nashville-based Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey has added Kenny Burns as a shareholder.
Burns, who will be based at the company’s Atlanta office, previously served as a brand ambassador for Grey Goose Vodka, CIROC and DeLeon Tequila.
“We’ve been curating this team by watching the industry very closely and responding to what our consumers have requested most,” Keith Miles, Uncle Nearest spokesperson, said in a release. “Kenny’s ability to introduce the brand to bars across America is unsurpassed. When you look at his track record of success in the industry, no one has been able to do what he has continued to do for two decades.”
The company, which launched the whiskey brand in July, has ramped up its planned expansion into 45 domestic and international markets this year.
OakPoint Real Estate has added Stephen Songy to its advisory services team.
Songy, with more than 10 years of experience in the real estate and capital markets sectors, will focus on growing corporate business, particularly related to health care and multi-market tenant representation.
Previously, Songy was a director with CBRE on the Nissan North America real estate services account. While at CBRE, Songy also provided consulting services to corporate clients in the health care, financial services, technology and retail sectors.
Prior to joining CBRE, Songy worked with Boyle Investment Co. in Brentwood. Before that, he worked at Regions Capital Markets, focused on syndicated debt structuring and placement.
Songy received a B.S. degree in mathematical economics from Wake Forest University and an M.B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management.
