National Health Investors has announced an agreement to sell its portfolio of 32 skilled nursing facilities and three independent living facilities to National HealthCare Corp. for $560 million. 

Company President and CEO Eric Mendelsohn said in a release the agreement provides NHI with “significant capital” and financial flexibility.
