A new study on housing and infrastructure from the Metro Planning Department recommends changes to the city’s zoning codes to address affordable housing and growth in Davidson County. 

Some of the recommended changes include expanding the availability of detached accessory dwelling units within the Urban Services District, allowing taller single exit stair buildings to reduce development costs and the establishment of bonus program incentives for affordable income-restricted units.
