The downtown Nashville operations of U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company will cease operations in early 2028, a move that will impact about 300 employees.

According to a release from Richmond-based Altria Group Inc., the parent company of the tobacco company, certain operations will be consolidated in a facility to be constructed on an existing campus in Hopkinsville, Ky.
