Local technology services company VendEngine has acquired a hardware and tech company that markets to VendEngine’s core corrections market as well as clients in banking, health care and hospitality.

Terms of VendEngine’s deal for four-year-old Harpeth Industries aren’t being disclosed beyond that it was a cash transaction. VendEngine focuses on commissary and vending management as well as electronic payment services for prison operators and President and CEO Si Deane said buying Harpeth brings his team a hardware option to go with its digital products.
