Two weeks after Metro Codes officials condemned East Nashville's historic, tornado-damaged Woodland Studios building, its owners have sued tenant Robert Solomon for breach of contract and slander. They seek $1.5 million in damages.

The California-based owners, under the name HH & C Partnership, accuse Solomon and his company, Woodland Studios Inc., of giving false information to the Codes Department resulting in the condemnation. They ask for $1 million in damages for slander, as well as $500,000 for failure to maintain and repair the building, and $25,590 for delinquent rent.
